Hi, my name is Mick Stock, I have been designing and constructing model buildings
and other scenery for over 35 years since I became interested in model railways.
My career has been mostly based in design/drawing offices in connection with the
building industry and I have worked with CAD systems for almost twenty years. This
experience combined with my love of model buildings has enabled me to design scale
models based on real buildings using various computer programmes.
I have been inspired by the card buildings of the Pendon Museum scenes with their
correctly detailed brickwork at the corners and window/door reveals but I know that
not many people can spend thousands of hours on each building like Pendon modellers
do. So I have started to develop model kits in PDF format which can be downloaded
and printed as many times as needed to produce good quality buildings in a tiny fraction
of the time.
Several years ago, I needed some figures for my model railway that were not available
off the shelf. After having a go at modifying proprietary figures and not being entirely
happy with the results, I decided to see if I could build them from scratch. After
a few attempts, I had produced models that I was satisfied with and developed my
methods further and reached a point where they were too good to keep to myself.
